Parent Council
The Parent Council exists to give parents and carers a voice within the school. Everyone involved with the Parent Council brings something different and something useful towards the success of the school. As well as parents the Parent Council comprises representatives from the teachers, and the school management team, representatives from the PTA, pupils and local councillors.
You:
- Are the expert on your own children and what they need
- Have unique and varied skills, interests, knowledge and experience
- Are members of the local community and have links that the school may not have
- Are in touch with other parents and can represent a wider range of views.
By coming along to meetings – or even just registering for our emails – you’ll find out a lot about what’s happening in school: we have discussions about the curriculum, in depth looks at subject areas, funding, staffing, building work and achievements. There are opportunities to campaign on issues that affect your children’s education. NB to register, complete the registration panel on the right.
We are a friendly bunch and new faces are always welcome! Why not come along to a meeting and see what you think? You don’t need to join if you don’t wish to. All parents and carers are welcome to just attend. Or alternatively, just contact us to find out more.
