Many thanks to all who supported the Quiz Night back in November – we raised in excess of £700 and the PTA would like to once again thank the S2 head team for all their efforts.

 The next event will be on 8th March and as the news is always comparing the current economic climate to the 70’s the PTA is going retro and holding a Beetle Drive at St Oswalds.

Open to all young and old – if you can throw a dice you can play.  More information to follow.

 Finally if you are attending a parents night this term you will receive a plea for help from the PTA.  Please can you give some time to reading the one pager and think when or how you could help.

PTA Final Meeting of the Year

PTA Final Meeting of the Year


The final PTA meeting of the year took place on Tuesday June 7th.  At the meeting, project funding applications were considered and allocations made to distribute circa £4400 from over £5000 raised by the PTA during the year.  A fantastic total!   Thanks go to all parents who contributed to this excellent outcome!
Further details of the specific allocations will be posted on the website shortly.  In the meantime, our roving reporter captured this shot of the group enjoying a well-earned post-meeting meal in Monpeliers.  As you can see Mr Hamilton joined Mr Dempster and the group and it is clear that a very enjoyable evening was had by all.

Shop Online and Raise Money!

Have you heard about easyfundraising yet? It’s the easiest way to help raise money for Boroughmuir High School PTA! If you already shop online with retailers such as Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, Comet, iTunes, eBay or HMV, then we need you to sign up for free to raise money while you shop!

So how does it work?

You shop directly with the retailer as you would normally, but if you sign up to easyfunding boroughmuir pta for free and use the links on the easyfundraising site to take you to the retailer, then a percentage of whatever you spend comes directly to us at no extra cost to yourself.

How much can you raise?

Spend £100 with M&S online or Amazon and you raise £2.50 for us. £100 with WH Smith puts £2.00 in our pocket and so on. There’s over 2,000 retailers on their site, and some of the donations can be as much as 15% of your purchase.
